This topic just keeps coming up. I spy emerging climate innovations or initiatives that are waiting for full funding to even think about hiring a PR firm. This is understandable. But, you can self-empower and do a few things that will help your leadership and solution get on a few media or conference programming radars in the meantime. And - your eventual PR firm will thank you profusely, because you’ll have given them a stronger foundation from which to catalyze their work (and get even more bang for the retainer buck you eventually spend).

Listen, learn, change your mindset now - and get in touch with me if you want an advising session that’ll jumpstart your energy and enthusiasm about it.

I have no related links to this topic. I have seen no research. I simply share this out of my years of experience connecting dots between communications and leadership messaging with more successful, strategic, external affairs in the long run.

However, I DO want to share a link to the recent Forbes piece by Vitas Carosella that relates to my post on sports and climate influence. Check out his story about the incredibly smart brand/foundation/cause partnership leveraging the climate influence of Lionel Messi. Here’s a quote:

Kimber notes that "Messi's involvement means reaching millions of people who are not part of the environmental discussion.”

I’ll leave you with the reminder that your wise alliance with an influencer need not be Messi-level to make a massive difference. If you want help understanding who /how to strategically align with a local athlete to build your climate influence story, I’m here to help.

Talk with you soon. (I love audio!)

You know where to find me in the meantime.
